Natural Cleaning Products – Do They Work?

Many natural cleaning products can be as effective as chemically based products. The good news is that you don’t need to have a degree in chemistry to mix them together. Some of them don’t even have to be mixed together to make them effective. Not only will they help to make your home clean, but they will also smell nice as well.

The humble lemon makes the perfect kitchen cleaning aid. Lemons can be used to clean the sink and worktop spaces. You don’t have to worry about any harmful chemicals such as parabens or acids. However, it is the citric acid in lemons which makes them so effective as a cleaning product. They are also a great natural tool to use if you do the dishes by hand and will quickly remove any stubborn greasy spots.

Nothing cleans windows and stainless steel surfaces like white vinegar. You can buy specialist cleaners. Unfortunately, they are both expensive and contain chemical compounds which can trigger both eczema and asthma. Opting for white vinegar is a much better option. All you need to do is to add some to a cotton cloth and get cleaning. This low chemical-based cleaning product even helps you to clean your home quicker and faster than many other products.

Salt is another alternative that you should check. The great thing about salt is that you can add essential oils and make your home smell great. Creating your own cleaning products with salt is easier than you think. Put about 500 grams of salt in a glass jar and add a couple of tablespoons of your favorite essential oils. You can also add grated ginger and a carrier oil such as almond. Leave for about a week so the essential oils are absorbed by the salt, and you then have a natural scented slightly abrasive cleaner.

Natural soap can be used for washing clothes. Take a look at Amazon and you will come across a lot of eco-friendly products which can be used in both washing machines and dishwashers. They used to be very expensive, however, in recent years, natural cleaning products have come down in price. All of them are top quality and you will be pleasantly surprised when you discover how fresh they will make your clothes smell. Dry your clothes in the open air and you will cut down on your electricity bill as well.

When you use natural cleaning products, you will soon notice your home will start to smell better. Of course, you still need to be careful and make sure that you use the products on the right kind of surfaces. Salt is a great product to use in the kitchen, bathroom and even to clean a dirty oven or cooker top. Put some on a cotton rag and add spray some water on the surface you need to clean. Before you know it, you will have become a Natural Domestic Goddess, or a Natural Domestic. Never lose sight of the fact men clean too!
